Happiest When In front of TV

I started playing house league hockey at age of 6.  I moved on to AAA hocket at age of 10.  Played for Midget team who represented Canada in a tour of Czechoslovakia in 1987, beating their 16 year old national team, then losing to their 17 year old national team (we were 16 and 17 year olds at the time).  Went on to represent Ontario in Canadian National finals at that age.

Played with Rob Pearson, Dale Craigwell, Chris Snell, Brent Grieve - players that went to play in the NHL after that year.  Also played against Eric Lindros, Tie Domie, Wes Walz, and many others that play in the N.  Proceeded to play Junior hockey after that for a year, deciding to pass on OHL hockey in favour of an education.  Had been drafted by the Toronto Marlies (who became Hamilton Steelhawks after that), but after playing pre-seasons with Marlies, decided to get out of OHL before my eligibility for scholarship was compromised.  Moved on to Wilfrid Laurier University where I found independence and lots of booze and birds.

I dropped out of the Laurier team before season started in favour of said booze and birds.  Don't regret it one bit!   Then picked up with some local Junior teams (New Hamburg Spirit and Waterloo Siskins) to finish out my 'career' (whatever).  I then went home to Oshawa after graduation to play in an elite men's league, with many players who had just come home from playing in the NHL, AHL and IHL.  That was the best hockey of my life, though at a 'senior' level (23 years old).

I then moved to Scotland at 24 to hook up with the highly touted Paisley Blackhawks.  I had heard of them from Canada, and wanted to try my luck with hockey in Scotland.  I was fortunate enough to make it through the pre-season and secured a spot on the soon to be Scottish Champions.   I have never looked back since!!
